A Message from the Superintendent of River Road ISD, Mr. Richard Kelley
Howdy, Wildcat Nation!
Welcome back, students AND parents. Our mission is to provide an innovative and comprehensive educational program that prepares students to be productive and responsible citizens. Each new school year offers students opportunities to take a step closer to graduation and parents the chance to continue their journey of lifelong learning! I love to include parents in all things educational because learning should never, ever end after the last school bell rings. River Road ISD is back in full swing. Last year, we launched some new programs, and we hope to keep growing them this year. All four campuses are continually seeking ways to improve and offer more opportunities for students. Football, Volleyball, and Cross-Country are in full swing. If you would like to catch a game, visit our Website Calendar of Events at www rrisd.net. We are planning to have many other activities as we move through the Fall Semester. Our Amazing Middle School and High School Bands will be showcased throughout the semester in various performances and competitions. And our talented group of High School Thespians will be performing the musical "Little Shop of Horrors" on November 14th and 15th. Homecoming is right around the corner the week of September 28th, with the annual Senior Class Kickoff at the High School on Saturday, September 26th. Sadly, we probably won't be able to have our BonFire this year because of the current burn ban and drought conditions, but the parade through Rolling Hills is still a go! Be sure to follow us on various Social Media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram. In closing, we want to know about any concerns in the district. It is essential for the staff that we build strong relationships in which people can talk to us about issues, volunteerism, and Public Education services.
