February 22, 2017
Good afternoon Wildcat parents; this is Mr. Kelley with a district update. I pray this message finds each and every one of you healthy and loving life.
In an effort to enhance communication and reduce confusion regarding your child’s grades, I have asked every teacher in grades 1st thru 12th to email progress reports to parents on a weekly basis. Teachers have been instructed to keep their grade books up to date and communicate more with parents. The easiest way to accommodate this is through our email system.
Starting February 27th, you should start getting emails from your child’s teachers with weekly progress reports attached. Hopefully, this will open up the lines of communication between the teacher and parent. If there is something not right on that progress report, feel free to respond to the email. If you like what is happening in the classroom, let the teacher know. Teachers are human too and love to hear when parents are happy!
Now, in order for this to work, you must have a valid email address in our system. Most parents provided this email address at registration. If you don’t have a valid email address in our system, please contact the school and provide that information to the school secretary. If you are not receiving ALL of these emails, please contact the school’s principal to inquire.
We truly want our students, your children, to be successful, so we must work TOGETHER to make this happen. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s grades, attendance, discipline, etc., please don’t hesitate to contact the teacher or call the school.
Spring is definitely around the corner and we have many, many activities happening on all four campuses, so please check our district website at www.rrisd.net to see everything going on.
Your continued support is very necessary and much appreciated.
Have a great evening Wildcat Parents!!
